What We Did
DMK Contracting was engaged by Fulton Hogan to undertake water infrastructure works at the Wastewater Treatment Plant on Rifle Range Road, New Plymouth.
The works included the installation of a new 180 mm PE water main and connection into the existing network, requiring modifications to the existing asbestos cement (AC) pipeline.
To complete the connection between the new PE infrastructure and existing network, DMK removed approximately four metres of the existing AC main before completing the new tie-in.
As part of the wider works, the team was also engaged to chlorinate the site’s water tank, which has an approximate area of 500 m².
The project demonstrated DMK’s capability across PE water infrastructure, existing network connections and supporting water-system works within an operational treatment facility.

Outcome
